The Western media is predisposed to analyze all geopolitical events based on a fixed categorization of victims and victimizers. Under this fixed categorization system, Hindus are always victimizers. Consequently, the media condemned the Indian government for passing the Citizenship Amendment Act (“CAA”), an act of compassion that affords protection to Hindus and other minorities who have been ethnically cleansed from the neighboring Islamic states.
In contrast, any discerning consumer of geopolitics would have expected the media to condemn the governments of neighboring Islamic countries for failing to ensure the safety and well-being of their non-Muslim citizens. Given this, the article’s author calls on everyone to be discerning consumers of geopolitics and not blindly believe what is being trumpeted by these so-called “reputable” media organizations.
